School Meals

School meals are provided through Apsens and menus follow a three-weekly rotation.

All children need a nutritious, balanced meal to grow and meet their full potential.

School meals need to be compliant with the School Food Standards. These were created to help children develop healthy eating habits and ensure that they get the energy and nutrition they need across the whole school day. Therefore, parents should be able to trust that the school’s menu has been developed based on scientific nutrition research. Find out more about the the Governments School Meals Food Standards

Children order their meals in advance at home with you via ParentPay. When your child starts at Lillington the initial activation information and access codes for ParentPay will be sent to you. ParentPay is also used for the payment of other school items too, for example, school trips or LSPTFA events. Lillington Nursery & Primary School is a cash-free site.

Free School Meals – is my child eligible?

Regardless of your child's year group – from nursery through to Year 6 it is worth applying to check your eligibility for Free School Meals. You can check if you are able to claim through this link to Warwickshire County Council’s website.

If you have a child in Reception, Year 1 or Year 2, your child is entitled to a universal free school lunch every day of the school term. We are confident your child will find a meal combination they will enjoy from the menu to help them develop and excel during school time.

You can provide a packed lunch for your child if you wish. Please remember it should be balanced and nutritious.
