For families who have children starting school in September 2026, we will be in contact with the welcome information and starting school timetable once we have been advised of final offers.

Parents must apply for a place at Lillington Nursery and Primary School through Warwickshire County Council. If you live within our school’s priority area, you have more chance of your child being offered a place at our school. Living within the priority area, however, does not guarantee an offer of a place at our school as there may be more applicants living within the priority area than the number of places available.

Places will be offered according to the admissions criteria, including the meeting of application deadlines.

Late applications will be considered after all those received on-time.

Applying for a primary school place – Warwickshire County Council

When can my child start school?

In Warwickshire, children may enter the Reception class at an Infant or Primary School in the September after their fourth birthday. The law says all children must start school (Year 1) by the beginning of the term after their fifth birthday. If a child attends an Infant School, they will transfer to a Junior/Primary School in the September following their seventh birthday.

Nursery Admissions for 2 to 4 years old

At Lillington, we offer nursery care for children from 2 years of age until the end of their pre-school year.

2 years old PM SESSION Monday to Friday 12.30pm to 3.30pm

3 and 4 Years old AM SESSION 08.45am to 11.45am and a PM SESSION 12.30pm to 3.30pm.

15 hours of universal funded nursery places are available to children from the term following their second or third birthday.

30 hours per week is available in the 3 and 4 years old nursery only via an extended funding code or paid for by parents/carers. For those children attending full-time, a paid school lunch is available to order, or your child may bring with them a healthy and nutritious lunch box. Children who are eligible for Free School Meals can order a free school meal.

Spaces are limited in nursery - early applications are recommended. If your child is offered a place at our nursery, please ensure that you reply with the confirmation information and £50 deposit, which is refunded after the completion of their first full term in nursery.
